The Department of Environment and Conservations' Waste Management Branch has launched the 'Organics Recycling and Sustainable Gardening at Home' brochure and poster development kit for environmental educators .

This resource tool enables those involved with community education to quickly and inexpensively develop their own education materials on the topics of worm farming, home composting and sustainable gardening using compost.

Waste Management Branch Manager Michael Kerr said the user-friendly kit consisted of information sheets, illustrations and brochure and poster templates, as well as examples of completed brochures and posters.

“Users are able to insert into the templates their own text, logos and illustrations from an image library to customise their own material,” he said.
